Sodium Persulfate VS. Hydrogen Peroxide
« on: June 12, 2012, 10:06:38 AM »
Can you get Cancer by mixing Sodium Persulfate and Hydrogen Peroxide together? In other words is this chemical reaction cancer causing when combined? Also, what reaction do you get when you mix these two oxidizers?

No reaction can cause cancer just because you look at it, just like no substance can cause cancer on sight. Also listening to the reaction is not cancerogenic.

What if you where exposed to the mixture of the two by physical contact as well as airborn?

Google hydrogen peroxide (sodium persulfate) MSDS, MSDSes sometimes contain cancerogenity sections.

I would not expect any special reaction to take place, other than decomposition with evolving oxygen.
