I have one compound that has acidic PH.
But it can't catalyze organic reaction.
WHYYYYYYYYYYY?

What compound is it? And what is the reaction?

What compound is it? And what is the reaction?
mixture of dabco and chlorosulfonic acid .for example synthesis of xanthenes.

Well dabco is a base and chlorosulfonic acid is an acid, therefore you have a salt of the acid. Neutral.

I measured it's PH and it is surely acid (between 2-3)

2:1 (acid:base)

Why is the base there anyway?
Xanthene synthesis is usually done in the presence of a Lewis acid.
