Hello. This should be very quick to check.
The problem I am having is with finding the 2 concentrations of individual components in a 2 component solution. I just want to make sure I have this correct:
Quick note: Concentrations should stay in (mg/L) for this problem.
Given stock solutions with concentrations of:
Compound X = 5 mg/L
Compound Y = 2 mg/L
I addded 10 mL of each into a beaker for a total of 20mL.
What are the concentrations of X and Y in the Beaker?
So I used the M1V1=M2V2 equation for each compound.
My answers were:
Compound X = 0.0025 mg/L
Compound Y = 0.0010 mg/L
Can someone please check this?
