TMSBr and how is it sell/prepared?

Hi,

I wonder how TMSBr is prepared. Do u know if it contain any stabilizer or anything or if it just TMSBr...

I did not find any info in sigma or acros...

You can make TMSBr by exchange of the Cl in TMSCl with cyanogen bromide, NaBr may also work.
As sold it does not contain any stabilisers.

That must be new, because when I used it last there was no copper or silver wool. In TMSI and D3 chloroform, but I've never seen it in TMSBr.

But when they said that the purity is 98 %, means that 2 % is stabilizer or water? or any decomposition product? I don't think that is water because then it will decompose to HBr..

Or it may just represent the limits of detection in whatever means they use to analyze the sample.
