percentage of atoms in 1040 steel that are carbon?

If 1040 steel contains .4% by weight carbon what percent of the atoms in 1040 steel are carbon?


im completely stumped.

I would assume 1040 steel contains only Fe and C. If you have 1000 g of the steel, what is the mass of iron? Carbon? Numbers of atoms?
