Yes, I have checked the purity of all my reagents :) My yield was about 25%!

Really, you formed a carbon-carbon bond? How did you do that? I could understand an S-S bond, RN=CR'S-SR'C=NR.

Yup, well I tried synthesizing the thioamid but NMR showed that the dimer had actually formed. It was one of my products when I purified my product via a column.

I'm not disputing that a dimer has formed, I am skeptical that you have a carbon-carbon bond. How do you know?

It was confirmed via NMR. We used DEPT, COSY, and an HMBC, and they all confirmed the presence of a dimer.
