Stereochemistry of 1,2-dibromo-2-methyl-3-pentanol

In trying to name the following compound, I found it be (2R,3S)-1,2-dibromo-2-methyl-3-pentanol, but my book says its (2S,3S). I'm pretty sure it's a mistake in the book, but I just wanted to double check with others.

The structure is (2S,3S)-1,2-dibromo-2-methylpentan-3-ol.
