Copper(II) triflate as a Lewis acid
« on: January 06, 2013, 01:15:07 PM »
Does anybody know how copper(II) triflate work as a Lewis acid? Is it dissolved into ions? My reaction mixture was blue which indicated Cu2+. But if it is dissolved, would other Cu2+-salts do as a Lewis acid?

Look up the definition of a Lewis acid. Any ideas?
