Phase distribution
« on: February 22, 2013, 06:19:27 PM »
Hi guys

I have a question regarding the distribution of components between 2 liquid phases i have in a mixture. The components I have are Methyl Oleate, Triolein, Oleic Acid, sulfuric acid, glycerol and water. I am aware that there will be 2 phases, one rich in Methyl Oleate (FAME) and one rich in water but i am unsure of the split of the acid between the 2. Would it solely be in the water phase?
