Greetings,
I'm a craft brewer with little basic chemistry knowledge from many years ago.
I'm trying to ascertain the power of various acids in neutralizing (if that's the correct term) calcium carbonate (alkalinity)
The only one I have is that apparently 25% H2SO4 can eliminate 292mg of CaCO3 per ml of acid.
I would like to know the power of hydrochloric (20%), lactic and phosphoric (85%) acids in similar terms.
Your help/input much appreciated.
Cheers
Nigel
