Alright so im completely stuck on how to do this. This is my data:
mass of unknown: 0.228 g
moles of unknown assuming it is sodium carbonate: 0.21 M
moles of unknown assuming it is sodium hydrogen carbonate: 0.27 M
mass of sodium chloride: 0.481 g
moles of sodium chloride: 0.82 M
I cannot figure out how to do the following:
1. Calculate the predicted yield (in g) of NaCl assuming your unknown is sodium carbonate.
2. Calculate the predicted yield (in g) of NaCl assuming your unknown is sodium hydrogen carbonate.
Could someone show me how to calculate one of them, please? It would help me out a lot.
Also, how would you go about determining which of the substances is the unknown?
Thank you very much ahead of time!
