When we use arrhenious concept of acid and base we neglect the acidity and basicity of other acids and bases as an ideal case.
If the acidicity of all Arrhenious acids and bases can be explained by Lewis concept then why use Arrhenious???
Why are pH and pOH so important than pACID and pBASE?
I guess because of importance of water... as our plant inherits lots of water...
but we have to be more precise...
Please, help...

firstly, we mainly encounter aqueous systems.
the acid in aqueous system is always H+
since we are dealing with an aqueous system, then it is convenient to work OH- because H+ and OH- are in equilibrium with each other.

Arrhenius A/B theory proposed first but having some limitations, Lewis A/B theory proposed later and more precise to describe A/B. However, Arrhenius A/B theory is still widely used and we should also learn it for our basic concept about A/B.

That means in water every acid or base affects the omnipresent H+ -OH+ system , so that no one is neglected when we just consider the pH+ and pOH- than pACID and pBASE... actually pH is a good way to bring it on single scale...
