FTIR Golden Gate ValPro
« on: May 17, 2013, 12:07:22 AM »
Hello,
My company is currently trying to validate our golden gate accessory for our Nicolet is10 FTIR. We need to run ValPro or something other system suit. One of my analysts wants to break the polystyrene lollipop in order to get a piece that fits in the golden gate. I believe that this will make the standard invalid and Thermo is highly against this action. Does anyone have any ideas how I can validate my Golden Gate or run some sort of system suit?

Our contract maintenance guy told use to run transmission ValPro but its not the same as the Golden Gate which is ATR. I also thought maybe we could run ValPro with the ATR accessory and then just swap out to the Golden Gate.

Hi
We have set up several different validation methods depending on which accessories we are using. Our BrukerVertex instrument have a three different ATR's and two detectors, so I have one method for each combination. These method does not need polystyrene, they only check the "system". Can't you by a new polystyrene disk that can be used with the ATR? I'm not familiar with Nicolet or ValPro, so I don't know who they are set up.
