Raman rotational spectrum question.

I'm studying for an exam, and I have a problem question that I can't seem to do.

The pure Raman rotational spectrum of 12C
16O, excited by 512 nm laser irradiation, shows a
series of equally spaced emission lines about the main Rayleigh peak, with a mean spacing
of 7.550 cm-1 (ie. less than 8 cm-1).
What is the CO bond length?

The relevant atomic masses are 12C = 12.000 amu and 16O = 15.995 amu.

My answer for the CO bondlength is 3.61*10^-9 m. Can anyone try the problem and let me know what they get?

Don't need to do the problem to see that your answer is wrong.  It's easy to check what the bond length of CO is.  Your calculated value is more than 30x too large by my estimation.

Why don't you describe step by step how you did the problem and we'll see where you went astray.
