diesel self-testing
« on: July 30, 2013, 02:26:02 AM »
Hello guys,

I was just wondering is there any way how to easy test (do it yourself at home) an ordinary diesel from gas stations? Because my car just died, because of bad quality of diesel.... Somehow to determinate the main substances as cetane, bio part od diesel etc. Thank you

do you know what was the substance that caused
Quote
bad quality of diesel
some hint maybe

for instance
if it was gasoline we might think of one thing
if it was water we might think of something else
and if it was some bio-product we might think of another method

something as simple as weighing the sample versus a control may be a test

If you question is can I test all the possibilities of stuff in my fuel
that would be a daunting task for home testing much less lab testing
