Ethanoic acid dimerises in the gas phase. Find an expression for the equilibrium constant for dimerisation in terms of the mole fraction x of the monomer and the pressure of ethanoic acid.

Well I know the total mole fractions must add up to 1, so I deduced the mole fraction of monomeric CH3COOH is x and for the dimer is (1-x).

Kp = ((1-x)p) / (xp)^2 ?
