Specific Heat
« on: January 07, 2014, 01:08:54 PM »
I'm struggling with solving specific heat problems. Here are some sample problems I can't grasp.

1. Calculate the final temperature of 245 mL of water initially at 32 degrees Celsius upon absorption of 17 kj of heat.

2. Specific heat of 45 g of a metal that requires 2.1 kcal of heat to raise its temperature.

What equations do you know that may help?
