cyclopropene + m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid...
« on: February 06, 2014, 01:24:53 AM »
Hi guys!

I was answering a prob set and i need some heads up with this one.. I know how to draw m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid but I'm not sure how to do the reaction.  The question asks me to draw the structures of A, B and C and their stereochemistry..Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

i was thinking that the reaction of cyclopropene with mCPBA will result in an epoxide then if H3O added will form a trans diol..but i'm not sure about this..is it correct?
