How to synthesize peroxide bond????
« on: February 25, 2014, 12:06:41 PM »
Hello all,
I would like to synthesize peroxide bonds from the nosylate compounds (-OSO2R into -OOH or OOtBu)? Does any of you have any recommendation for this kind of reactions?
Actually, I already tried with H2O2 in Na2CO3 and tBuOOH in K2CO3, but nothing works at all.
Now I am trying with NaH and tBuOOH in dry THF.
I am really appreciated with your *delete me*!!

Not sure I'm understanding you correctly.
Can you give more info on the substrates you are wanting to form into peroxides?
When in doubt, avoid the Stille coupling.
