Organic and Inorganic (methyl sulphonyl acid)
« on: February 25, 2014, 09:12:24 PM »
I'm wondering if organic compound can mix with inorganic compound? I'm mixing Methylsulphonyl acid in hydrochloric acid. Is the mixture could cause damage to any materials?

there is very less information on methylsuphonyl acid (MSA) in the net.
I'm given a task to check on the effect of MSA in Hydrochloric acid.

Any one could help me on this?

Thanks.

It is interesting that WIKI has no entry for Methylsulphonyl acid
but has the entry
Methanesulfonic acid
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanesulfonic_acid

another WIKI of interest
sulfonic acid
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfonic_acid

and another WIKI of interest
