Role of valence elctrons in metallic bonding
« on: March 20, 2014, 08:39:51 AM »
Suppose element A has very few valence electron and element B had more valence electrons. Whose bonding  do you consider to be more metallic ahd why?

Stronger bonds for formed with higher number of valence electrons agreed, but is it jus because in element A there are few valence electrons and they can move freely around the positive ion cores the bonding is more metallic?
