1 . The concentration of hydroxide in a solution of HCl is 5.6 x 10^-14 M. What is the molar concentration of the HCl?

Kw = (5.6 x 10^-14) (H+) = 1.00 x 10^ -14

H+ concentration = 0.18 M

I don't know if it is correct to use Kw here to calculate the concentration.

2. Calculate the pH of a sample of vinegar that contains acetic acid at 0.83 M. What is the ionization percentage of the vinegar?

I don't really know how to approach this problem, wouldn't I need to know the H+ concentration at equilibrium?

That's the correct approach.

No, you have to calculate concentration of H+ from known concentration and dissociation constant. That in turn means checking Ka value in tables.
