My neighbor gave me a collection of chemicals his father owned (he was a chemist), one such being antimony trisulfide. I'm not sure what to do with it, and I've read that it is relatively toxic. Is it more of a hassle to hold on to it and try to make elemental antimony, or should I just throw it in the garbage?

If you're not a budding home chemist, maybe you can give it to a friend of his who shared his hobby.  Failing that, I'd wait for your local municipality to make a hazardous waste reclamation day, and give them all a surprise when all they're expecting is old paint.
