I don't really know how to start naming it but both of them have two aromatic groups, alcohol group, double bond, another alcohol group for number 1 and ether group from group 2.

For number 1 I have 2-{(E)-[(4-Hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenol
and for 2 I have 2-{(E)-[(4-Methoxyphenyl)imino]methyl} phenol  It looks like a mess is there a way to name is shorter?

Looks OK, is salicylaldehyde an acceptable parent name?
