Pressure of moving ideal fluids
« on: July 15, 2014, 02:15:01 AM »
I am trying to qualitatively understand the relationship between pressure of a moving ideal fluid and the following four characteristics: temperature, density, cross-sectional area and velocity. Because it is not static I cannot apply P≡F/A, I understand that much. Can I look at an ideal fluid as if it were an ideal gas and use PV=nRT. If so then I can that as temperature and density increase so does pressure.  However I am unclear on cross-sectional area and velocity and how they relate to pressure.

No.

Try googling up Bernaulli's eqn. or Naviar Stokes eqn.
