« on: July 15, 2014, 08:54:00 AM »
acivated charcoal is sometimes useful but cleaning it may be a nightmare. I got some stuck in my sinter glass filter. Anyone has idea about how to clean it??

It won't make any difference to your filtrations. Cleaning is not worth it. A lot of mine were covered in charcoal, had absolutely no effect on the products.

You can burn almost anything it's just a matter of how much heat you apply. Really it's not worth the effort.

Wont work most likely. Its not worth cleaning but it was said before. We usualy use funnels which are already messed with charcoal to filter charcoal. I didnt notice any impurities in product either

The activated carbon is performing the same function in a sense as the other filtration material in that sinter glass filter, so get over your preconceived notions and stop being so racist and accept that activated carbon can coexist peacefully with the sinter glass filter material.

It was an attempt to be funny, but not very successful. Please accept my apology.

Of course you would find it funny -- you were the one who suggested burning it!  :P
