Briggs-Rauscher reaction : effect of sulphuric acid

when we were doing our practicals , we had this particular experiment . I noticed that if i add moore amount of sulphuric acid of same concentration , blue colour is observed late and number of oscillation also decrease . i was not able to give a reason for this . please help

Really cool reaction! Have you found the mechanism for it? Let's write it down and have a look at which steps require the presence of acid. You're increasing the concentration of sulphuric acid in the reaction mixture by adding more, so those steps will be responsible.
