2. The amount of Chloride is very high so you need strong dilution.

I've read that I should aim for 200 ppm Cl @ pH 7.5. - But if I have a water around at pH 8.5, I wouldn't get that solution without some acid. And I've read that I could use Hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH. - But I guess it would also increase the ppm Cl.
