Borosilicate Lab Glass tubing. Max pressure
« on: December 05, 2014, 12:14:58 AM »
What's the max pressure feasible in glass tubing. I've a chart from Delaware's glass blowing shop that shows a 1/2 inch tube can take up to 23 atm safely with 2 mm thick walls. Any idea if this is reliable?

Has anyone used glass tubing in pressure situations? I only need about 10 atm so I'd have a generous margin of safety.

How is the derating for temperature. I only expect to reach till 100°C max.
