Hey everyone! As I was surfing the web, I came across this forum and decided to join in these conversations. Chemistry is life! (Get it?)

Anyways, I decided to have a minor in Chemistry while majoring in Nuclear Physics. So one day, I came across these cold packs at Walmart that were mainly composed of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate. If my memory serves me correct, you can isolate the ammonium nitrate and synthesize Potassium Nitrate. I was wondering how would you be able to isolate ammonium nitrate from CAN. Boiling and filtering? AND no, I have no harmful intentions, as I would not be stupid enough to try so, where I live actually physically doing the synthesis of explosive materials can get you expelled from University.
