Alkene oxidation with permanganate - mechanism confusion
« on: February 09, 2015, 05:56:23 AM »
Alkene is said to be oxidized by permanganate in concerted process via biether complex. Understand. After ether hydrolysis we rest with Mn+5. Right?. But how then we get Mn+4?
