Hi,
This is my first post and like to start from a simple question. Can somebody give me a logical explanation for this question.
How 2-hydrazinyl-5-iodopyridine, ( 2-hydrazine substituted) becomes more polar than 2-chloro-5-iodopyridine?

When I think of polarity, I think of the strength of intermolecular bonds. For example, water is more polar than ammonia because the hydrogen bonds in water are stronger than the hydrogen bonds of ammonia. I suggest you draw the two structures and then ask yourself, which molecule can have stronger intermolecular bonds?
