Is the following synthesis reaction correct? If not, can anyone tell me where the mistakes are or suggest another way of doing it? Thank you

After the first step, alkylation, I think you can carry out an SN1 reaction with a mixture of water and propanone. Then you have an alcohol you can oxidize using CrO
3
and sulphuric acid. That's it.
