Simplification reaction system (mechanism)
« on: November 06, 2015, 02:34:05 PM »
In the point of view of technology the value which could be interesting is the change of concentration in time dCi/dt of precisely defined component (or different value like molar stream and similar).

Is there any algorithm which allows for straight description the rate of production of such defined component in the function of substrate conversion (for example)?

If I'm not 100% understood, I'll try to give you an straight example:

Defined mechanism
A -> B <=> C
C -> D
C -> E

Let's say that interesting me rate of component production is E (dCE/dt). If I know values of kinetics constant am I able to determine the rate of E production basing only the conversion of A concentration or molar without solving the ODE system?
In other words, I don't want to solve ODE system I want to get only one ODE, is it possible?
