Stoichemistry Questions
« on: December 17, 2015, 09:14:08 PM »
1.What mass of water can be produced by reaction of 25.0 mL of .1 M HNO3 with NaOH?

2.What is the molarity of NaCl when 55.0 mL of .1 M NaCl is added to 80 ml of a .1 M NaCl? 135 ml in total.

I'm assuming .1 M NaCl, but am i wrong?

3. 2.00g of zinc metal is placed in a solution of 2.50g of silver nitrate, causing Zn(s)+2AgNO3(aq) -> Zn(NO3)2+2Ag(s).

A) How many grams of Ag will form?

I got 6.6g of Ag.

B) If 1.4 grams of Ag is actually produced, what is the % yield?

I have no idea how to go about this question, any help will be awesome!

How do you expect to get 6.6g Ag from 2.5g silver nitrate? Have you heard of the concept of the limiting reagent? What is it here?
