Seachem Equilibrium
« on: March 12, 2016, 03:44:53 PM »
Hey all,

I bought a big bucket of Seachem Equilibrium from our fall auction.  It appears to be unused, but its turned brown.  The small containers of Equilibrium Ive used have always been snow white and shown no signs of changing color.  I just want to make sure this batch is still good before I find out the hard way that its funky.  Anyone ever had a problem with old Equilibrium?

To help with the discussion I looked at the MSDS
http://www.seachem.com/support/MSDS/Equilibrium.doc.pdf

Proprietary blend of
magnesium sulfate,
calcium sulfate, potassium
sulfate, iron sulfate, and
manganese sulfate.

In the Chemical Forums as per forum rules we tend to answer using question to assist in learning.
Of the above compounds can you guess if any of them would turn brown due to exposure to air and/or water.
