pH pC diagrams - where do you find them?
« on: November 30, 2016, 02:41:32 AM »
I have been searching for a while for a pH pC diagram for magnesium, in order to see at which pH values, what species is dominant, fx. I need to know when magnesium is no longer Mg2+ but MgOH+

However, I cant seem to find a diagram. I do know how to construct them, but I can't find the required pKa values either. All I can find are pH pC diagrams for iron.
Maybe I am just really bad at searching, or else perhaps such diagrams are rarely used?

Do any of you know where I should look for such diagrams? Or perhaps have one that are willing to share?

Best regards

Chances are you will find the equilibrium constant for the Mg2++OH- reaction under complexation, not Ka/Kb.

I am afraid I have already tried that, but with no result.

All that comes up are pH pC diagrams for iron, not magnesium

Search once again: stability constant MgOH
 ... and be patient.
