What is the reaction of Chromium(III) oxide and Strong Hydrochloric Acid at room temperature? I am trying to produce Chromium(III) Chloride.

More or less what one could expect, but very slow.

Relatively fast you can solubilize Cr
2
O
3
by reaction in melting NaOH. The you can neutralize with HCl.
