Comparing borzine and benzene in terms of preparation
« on: December 29, 2016, 02:52:52 AM »
Borazine is closer analogue of benzene.
Explain on basis of preparation , molecular structure and reactions of borazine

i know how they are comparable in terms of structure and reactions ...but how are they comparable in terms of preparation ??

can anyone please explain

OK, an interesting class assignment, lets get started.

Well, they're both ring structures, I can only assume the electrons in borazine are delocalized as in benzine, but they're going to have different bond lengths, by definition.

and reactions ..

That isn't true.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borazine#Reactions

That's a tough one, given that benzene isn't so much synthesized from scratch, but purified from side-reactions of other petroleum processing, and I've never heard of boron oil wells.  They may be totally different, or you may find a similarity between some synthetic methods.  Either way, that answers the question.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
