Sexual Chemistry
« on: May 31, 2006, 08:38:09 PM »
I noticed in last Sunday's (May 28th 2006) THE SUNDAY TIMES that the style magazine had a rather offensive cover- it was covered in loads of wrong chemical equations- the only 'correct' one was the combustion of ethane, but not even that was balanced >:(! Haha I'm only joking- it was quite imaginative and nice to see chemistry in the headlines (and on a naked woman's body ;D).
Below are a couple of photos of the pictures.
The article itself was nothing to do with chemistry, it was just a copy of a New Scientist article on 'the magic formula' for sexual attraction, and can be seen here.

Enjoy. (But not too much! ;))

All this suggests that the path to love can be somewhat random, particularly for women.
If that isn't true.
I'm not suffering from a mental disease - I'm enjoying it.

Love must be a biochemical phenomena.
"Say you're in a [chemical] plant and there's a snake on the floor. What are you going to do? Call a consultant? Get a meeting together to talk about which color is the snake? Employees should do one thing: walk over there and you step on the friggin snake." - Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of Glaxosmithkline, June 2006

Of course it is, we are one giant biochemical phenomenon, although with my bent towards biochemistry, I might just be biased there :)

So behold darkness as our new light
In our darkness we can see
So with others blindness
We take flight.

That definitely qualifies for the 'You know you are a chemist...' category.   :)
