Can flakes be used in THF to remove the moisture content( the thf which m.c to be reduced is distilled one)?

I assume you mean flakes of NaOH? I'm going to give the advice I always give, which is to use baked 3Å molecular sieves. Safer, easier, better. You can dry with NaOH if you really have to. FYI a quick google search says if it contains peroxides this can cause it to detonate.
