1.How to convert boric acid to boric oxide?
2.To a few crystals of boric acid in a test-tube add a little methanol and some concentrated sulphuric acid. Heat and ignite the vapour evolved. Report and explain the colour of the flame. Why should barium and copper interfere in this test.

Boric Oxide is Anhydrous Boric Acid.

My theory is,

2 H₃BO₃ <           ^{(What Catalyst/Reactant?)}           > 3 H₂O + B₂O₃

I don't know about your flame question; I'll think about it.

Please that's nothing in wikipedia on how to convert boric acid to boric oxide. Anyway thanks for your answer.

. When heated above 170°C it dehydrates, forming metaboric acid HBO2. Metaboric acid is a white, cubic crystalline solid and is only slightly soluble in water. It melts at about 236°C, and when heated above about 300°C further dehydrates, forming tetraboric acid or pyroboric acid, H2B4O7. Boric acid can refer to any of these compounds. Further heating leads to boron trioxide.
