tee hee  -  it doesn't meen you are rude exactly  -  just that you would press strongly to make sure your point of view gets across.  i.e. if you are a manager who is very assertive  -  you would probably get your own way alot as you would press or argue your point untill it is conceded (doesn't meen you won't listen to a common sensical comment and change your view - it's is just that you would fight for what you believe is right or for what you want)

Assertivness can be a good quality if the person is intelegent, caring and wise.  It  would be a very bad quality in an uncaring, ignorant person  -  those types are anoying.
