I am working on using starch as the major material blended with little portion of urea formaldehyde to produced a wood adhesive. I have started the work but I need some guidance in my steps to blend the starch with the urea formaldehyde.

What sort of blending problems are you getting?  What have you tried, what result do you get, and what result do you need?

Starch-based glue?  Interesting.  What application is it for?  Seems ultra-green, for sure.  But also seems very prone to microbe attack.  Is this a bio-based glue meant to dissolve rapidly in the environment?

Does it HAVE to be urea formaldehyde?  Can't you use a friendlier binder? What is the application? Does it need to be environmentally friendly and be compliant to latest REACH regs and things?  If so - drop the binder and use a more modern one....  unless you need that specific one for strength or some other property it gives that you can't get from something else.

Actually the urea formaldehyde is for strength, because it is meant to be use as a glue for wood and furniture. But if you can refer me to a binder that is common and can be used I will love to give it a try too.
On the blending aspect,

if the ratio of starch to the binder is 70/30, do I need to use cross linkers? And is there any calculation to get the specific amount of cross linker to add? Also the best cross linker to use in such case.
