Mr Yoel Sasson has an article on this subject JOC 1986.with well control pH,Temperature and even exactly stir( 500rpm),his group got good experimental result.Substitued group on methylbenzene,including NO₂(-o,p,m),Cl,Br(-o,p),OCH₃,OH(-p).

Have searched database and scholar google,related oxidation pocess using PTC&NaClO emphasized the proper pH(mainly due to the oxidant here works );reuse of cat RuO4 oxidants seems to be another challenge.

And my questions are
1. does o-F mean any special  difference in this oxidation process.
2. to get a good understanding on this subject, what further articles should I read about?
