Does the periodic table only show atomic forms of elements? For example H2 is also hydrogen but it’s only represented as H on the periodic table?

Correct only one atom is shown in PSE. A lot of elements exist as molecules in nature.  Sulfur for example is in nature S8, white phosphorous P4, the halogenes and all gaseous elements beside the noble gases  as X2 and more.

Also, here's a mnemonic that's worth remembering (at least for me). These are the diatomic elements (they form in pairs of two).

Have - H - Hydrogen
No - N - Nitrogen
Fear - F - Fluorine
Of - O - Oxygen
Ice - I - Iodine
Cold - Cl - Chlorine
Beer - Br - Bromine

I know, it's kinda stupid, but it helped me...
