amine based CO2 absorption
« on: December 02, 2018, 07:42:30 PM »
Hello,

I'm trying to create a high-level laymen assessment between both papers. I do not have any scientific background however i'm trying to learn, I apologize if my question isn't inline with the forum guidelines or ettiequte. I'm trying to understand some basics such as:

1) How diffrent are both processes? What is the actual research improvement in the second.
2) Does the second offer a true improvement over the first?
3) There is a comparative list of materials in Table 1 - p.6 - is there a knowledge base that provides some background on all of these in a more approchable manner?
4) Why are the resources below a patent and the other is scientific publication?

I really appreciate your time, and I thank you for your help.

thank you again.

Some of your questions can be researched using GOOGLE.
Write down what you think would be a good answer and someone may comment on it.

By the way WIKI can be of help.
I would not quote it but it does point to various sources.

thanks for replying. I'm a bit timid specially when it comes to subjects I have very little knowledge about, and scientific papers on organic material preparation is not my strong-suite thats why i'm seeking help here, i'm also looking at a few less scientifically inclined articles. I'm sorry for not writing up my thoughts, but here goes.

From my understanding both process are similar however second one covers a more wider temp. spectrum. however I know that this is an active research area, so rapid development might be the reason. I do not truly understand the preparation process or how does it differ between both or across other similar material. it seems that one done at more refined method while the first is crude and geared towards larger production.

and for my last questions I do not know why one process is a patent while the other is a scientific papers, even though the process looks similar to other process in other scientific articles and even other patents, I do not see anything special other than company's wishing to pad up their IP portfolio, but then again i'm sure their is more to it.
