Element Melting point (celcius) Boiling Point (celsius) Molar Volume at STP
A -189 -186 22.4
B -100 -35 22.4
C -7 58 2.6 x 10
-2 D 30 2240 1.2 x 10
-2 E 44 280 1.7 x 10
-2 F 660 2450 1.0 x 10
-2 G 3410 5930 1.0 x 10
-2 a) which elements are likely to be metals?
F and G because of their high melting pointsb) which elements are gases at STP?
A and B because their molar volume is 22.4 L at STPc) which element is most likely to be a non-metallic solid?
D maybe, I don't know about this oned) which elements are liquid at 200 C?
D and E because both melt before 200 C but do not boil until after this point - I am just guessing heree) which elements are likely to conduct well in solid form?
F and G because they have high melting and boiling points. So how does this look. To be honest, I am really unsure of most of my answers except for a) and b). Any help would be appreciated. Even if you could nudge me in the right direction if I am wrong.
Thank alot
